Our Story
Hi, I’m Daniela.
Welcome to For The Love of Flowers. My name is Daniela and I love gardening, floral design and all things sustainable farming.
For the past 20 years, my husband and I have grown flowers and vegetables on a relatively small scale within our green house/garden in Wellesley, ON.
During the summer we sell fresh flower bouquets and simultaneously begin the process of drying as many flowers as we can for fall and winter time dry floral arrangements.
We are not a big farm but everything comes alive in our garden from a simple and beautiful flower to a bouquet or big floral arrangement.
80% of fresh flowers sold in Canada come from South America and Ecuador. For the Love of Flowers is intentional to provide sustainable flowers for the general public and/or businesses in the Kitchener and Waterloo area.
Our Work
-
Dry Floral Arrangements
Once fresh flowers, dried flowers are a wonderful sustainable floral option. All of our dry flowers are grown in our garden and carefully dried to use in all kinds of floral arrangements. Once fully dried, the flowers appearance becomes duller as a result of the dehydration process. You are often left with beautiful earthy tones. Dried flowers are delicate but with gentle handling and avoiding direct sunlight and humidity, they can last years.

Fresh Cut Flower Bouquets
Fresh Cut flowers are a staple of what we do. Each year we buy a variety of international rare seeds and by the spring, our garden is exploding with color and beauty.
Our flowers are usually picked the same day or the day before you get them.
There is something special and extraordinary about locally grown flowers that sets them apart.
